Folders, tabs, outline and search
Work across a whole folder of notes, jump between headings and find anything fast.
You'll learn to
- Open a folder and browse it in the sidebar
- Jump through a long document with the outline
- Find and replace, with regex if you need it
Open a folder
Press ⇧⌘O and pick a folder. The Files sidebar (⌃⌘1) lists its Markdown files; click one to open it, or use the + button to add a new file there.
Search every file
Press ⇧⌘F to search the text of every file in the folder.
Tabs
⌘T opens a new tab, so several documents share one window.
The outline
⌃⌘2 shows every heading in the document. Click one to jump to it. ⌃⌘S hides or shows the sidebar.
Find and replace
⌘F finds; ⌥⌘F adds replace. Turn on match case, whole word or regular expressions, then replace one match (Enter) or all of them (⌘Enter).
Try it
Open the Proseport Examples folder with ⇧⌘O and search all seven files for the word “export”.
